After the Holidays

Normality returns this morning with Titch going back to school. The week of half term has been fun and busy (not least with me finally taking the plunge into Blogland) but I took the opportunity of a little freedom to wander around the village with my camera. I admire the photography in so many blogs and am now trying to improve my own skills - this misty sunny morning provided the perfect chance.

My first view of hills and blue sky after the school run.

New Daffodil leaves reaching up into the sunshine.

Onwards into the park.

Bright red stems of Dogwood.

Berberis buds.

The first Rhododendrons.

Delicate blooms.

The strange quietness of the playground after the holidays.

The stunning colour of the Paperbark Maple.

I thoroughly enjoyed the new experience of walking around taking shots of anything that caught my eye; I hope to remember to make it a daily occurrence.

And lastly, a couple of pictures of Titch's crafty afternoons at our lovely pottery/music/art cafe:

Decopatch Steggy.

Multi-tasking: flapjack, juice and ladybird plate painting,
as observed by Hoppi the kangeroo!

Back to work and school and life balance now - the juggling act begins.....
